MBC, the answer for bringing diversity to contracting opportunities with
49ers Levis’ Stadium

The Silicon Valley Minority Business Consortium (MBC) said today that it has partnered with the San Francisco 49ers to expand involvement of Bay Area Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) at Levi’s® Stadium and to assist in the further development of community outreach programs in the Santa Clara Valley.

“We are pleased to add MBC – with its deep-rooted personal relationships within the local cultural, business, political, and civil rights communities – to our stadium operations team,” said Jim Mercurio, vice president of stadium operations for Levi’s® Stadium.  “The 49ers have a long history of inclusiveness and diversity and our partnership with MBC will help continue that legacy.”

MBC said it would refine and expand an outreach plan that reaches into the richly diverse business and cultural communities of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.   “The San Francisco 49ers have a great legacy of community partnership and inclusion, “ said Walter Wilson of MBC.  “We see our job as helping to develop specific tactics to leverage economic opportunities being created by the new Levi’s® Stadium.”
